Planning Tools
To
win, we must practice what we preach. In SBDCs, we are pretty
good about preaching the gospel of business / strategic planning.
Do
you have a strong GROWTH plan for your center? Here are a few
resources.
SBDC
Marketing Manual - Here is a planning template to use for
constructing a strong marketing plan for your center or network.
WORD FILE.
Can also be downloaded
in PDF file format.
Mid
Year Planning Checkup - So it is the middle of your planning
year. How are you doing? It makes a lot of sense to "step
back" and gauge your progress. Use this WORD
FILE to help.
Growth
Exercise - What Would it Look Like if You Charged? - Clearly,
one of the interesting things about the SBDC program is that
we are able to provide free individual consulting services to
entrepreneurs. But how would we have to change our approach
if we actually had to charge? This question is worth pondering.
Would you have to better "bring your "A" game?"
Check out this exercise to sharpen your marketing approach.

Planning
On Purpose
Sure, we're all busy. You and your center have a pile of business
plans to review, several seminars to conduct, and a pile of
paperwork for your state office. Short on time for GROWTH planning
in your center? Understandable, but not acceptable. You owe
your center, your clients, and yourself a strong and vibrant
growth focus in your SBDC. It IS that important!
